Hey, Isn't that the whole fun about it? :D The more myths, the merrier. Like my tank with 1000ppm Nitrates (no typo) because "Nitrates totally cause algae".

Just have some fun with them! "It's a 10 gallon long, I change 287% water daily, and I keep 2 stingrays. They fit if you fold them. Rotate twice daily."

lazy... or is there really a need, to do it weekly... water change schedule...

I'm a sucker for fine sand anyway ... Most tanks are either 0.1 - 0.3mm sand, or 0.4-0.7. :) The only exception are the aquasoil tanks.

Hey, I would suspect that has, at least somewhat, to do with their favorite pastime ... food! :) In nature, it's a fight for survival, so they stay where the food comes from. From wherever the water comes. In fish tanks, they have those huge, weird creatures from the outside world that drop...

Hey, Not just for the latter, but in general, in my opinion. Approx. calculation: If you take fish food with 25% protein content, and take an average of 2% "weight of the fish" as food per day, we're generating 0.07 grams NH3/NH4 per 100g of fish. Let's round this to 0.1 grams. To convert...

Hey everyone! Been a long time, since I've been taking part in more international fish forums ... and now that Felix (@f_luxus) is here, I just had to follow. :D My name's Dominic, 37 years old, south-west Germany. Been into fish tanks for well over 20 years now, and probably have too many of...
