Well after some research, Ive found a supplier of a dimmable ballast that will drive a 55w Power Compact. Hopefully within a couple of weeks I'll have the parts, and have built a "proof of concept" unit. Cheers Stuart

I know what the answer to this is going to be 'google' but any pointers ? Are the interpet T5 tubes worth considering as a tube, or should I look at linier T5's ? Thanks Stuart

Hi All, I'm looking at using interpet t5's for my new aquarium, however from what I can make out the starter units are magnetic ? Is there an electronic equiv to interpet starters ? In an ideal world, I'd love something that's dimable, but you cant have everything can you. Cheers Stuart
