That's a shame - seems odd that they wouldn't make that available but I guess they know best! I'll update you on progress with the auto feeder but I have an idea that my sister is going to buy it for me (Christmas) so it may be a little while.

Thanks very much. Yes, the tank is cycled and water tests come out well. Betta has now been returned to the Aquarium where he came from. They were very helpful, gave me a refund and some Melafix and some good instruction. many thanks to all - glad I signed up for this site! Webmoose
