    Whitespot Still Not Cleared

I have 4 neons & 2 red tetras in a 30ltr tank. I have had a bad case of fin rot & whitespot. I have treated the tank with ESHA 2000 as well as exit. Fish have died left right & centre leaving me with whats left. However, the red tetras still have whitespot. I have not treated the tank for 2 days...

Fish For A Small 30 Ltr Tank

You are correct. Until reading this forum I had not heard of cycling the tank. More annoyingly the local aquatics never mentioned it. The tank has been established 12 months now, so does it still need to be cycled, or will the appropriate levels of amonia etc be alraedy built up by now?

    Dying By The Day

Here are a few pics I took earlier, I have since done a 25% water change. It's the orange ones I am worried about as they seem to have white spot, but you can't really see from the pics, although they do seem to be hanging around the top of the tank. Currently 4 neons, 3 orange tetras and the...

    Dying By The Day

I boil the water then when it's cooled down I add tap safe each week. I was told to use boiled water from the shop. Possibly bad advice again. I have again had the water tested today & another aquatic store said it was fine, but I am gonna get my own kit thia aft & test it myself &...

Thanks for all your help guys. Yes the tank is filtered & has a heater. I have turned up the heater as advised too. The water is crystal clear & Ihad it tested today at the aquatics centre. They said it was in good condition. Sadly my last phantom died this afternoon, covered in white spot. All...

Fish For A Small 30 Ltr Tank

Upto a max of 13. 2 Phantoms, tetras, neons etc. In recent weeks the majority have died due to what I think is white spot & other infections. What fish would people suggest we get next time around? Seccondly I...

    Dying By The Day

Both fins & body. Gutted now tbh as we were told that a 30ltr would be a good starting point & neons would be fine. So if they all end up dying, what would your suggestions be & how many fish?

    Dying By The Day

Many thanks for your help. All we have left are 3 Neons 1 phantom (on it's last legs) & 3 small orange tetras. We were origionally told a maximum of 13 fish in a tank that size, and small ones at that.

    Dying By The Day

Hi folks, I registered on the site a while ago on behalf of my Son but I need some advice. This may be a long thread so please hang with me. He has a 30 litre tank which has been established about 12 months now. We have had a variety of fish from small neons to phantoms. We have only ever had...

    Small Snails In The Tank

Yes I do have plants, and I gave them a real good wash b4 planting or so I thought. I am wondering if they have come from the plants, What do you or anyone else suggest about the film on the top of the tank?

    Small Snails In The Tank

I am totally new to the hobby, we have a pearl 40 tank with 3-4 neons & 2 phantoms although one phantom did die. However everything else remains well or appears to be. I do however keep getting very small snails appearing, I keep taking them out. Is this the right course of action or are they...
