Will fish survive the construction next door?

Hi all, This is my fish tank - sat close too, but not touching, the wall between me and my neighbour. We live in your standard Victorian terraced houses and they've just begun the process of knocking though the wall on the ground floor that will open up their living area - like so many...

Pink spots on a guppy tail - and another one looking unwell

They looked stumped for a while and then one of my many photos - possibly this one - seemed to reveal its fungal nature, which I took to mean the whiteish part of the spots and shape. That said, I've been treating with Interpret Anti-Fungus and Fin Rot medicine in a hospital tank for nearly two...

Pink spots on a guppy tail - and another one looking unwell

Thanks all. Took a bunch of photos to the LFS and they were baffled until one of the photos appeared to catch the spots at an angle that illustrated it was fungal in nature, so I'm treating for that in a hospital tank.

Pink spots on a guppy tail - and another one looking unwell

Hi all, I thought the most serious problem I had in my tank was algae, and have in the last few weeks added CO2 into the mix, as well as a little spot dosing with Excel. As far as I can tell I'm not overdoing it with either. I've just tested my water too, and no ammonia or nitrite, with nitrate...

    Reckon so. Gah!

First day of CO2!..... No bubbles.....

I've done all this repeatedly in all sorts of orders - but nothing. It's like the CO2 can get partway into the regulator (hence it can determine the pressure in the tank) but no further. My hopes of this being user error are fading and I'm starting to think 'faulty item'.

First day of CO2!..... No bubbles.....

Hi all, I decided to introduce CO2 to my tank and excitedly started to get that ready to begin today. However, despite following all the instructions ( https://www.co2art.co.uk/pages/support#reamaze#0#/kb/product-manuals-441c1dc2834132cd/pro-se-series-56d7358b9aaba732) to the letter, I don't...

Tank issues crushing my enthusiasm - help needed

Thank you for the very comprehensive reply. I'm not sure my light strip has a K number - it's a 10w LED strip that can be programmed via blutooth and I've just turned down the blue and green light down to where the red light level was, with white max out: I'll take your advice and reduce the...

Tank issues crushing my enthusiasm - help needed

Really? I thought as long as the fish I have are ok in higher pHs that it'd be ok.... What other problems does the pH cause?

Tank issues crushing my enthusiasm - help needed

Thanks - yes, it's the programmable blutooth strip. I've recently turned down the blue light to be on the same level as the red and green, which white being maxed out - based on advice received elsewhere.

Tank issues crushing my enthusiasm - help needed

@Essjay I believe it is a 10w LED strip that comes with the Fluval Roma 125. Whilst some people have told me that stock lights are never enough, I thought they'd be ok, having chosen low-light plants specifically. Growth doesn't seem to be an issue - just looking a bit raggedy as well as the...
