I have a banjo in with tetras, harlequins and madagascar rainbows and hes thriving. They like to keep hidden so i dont see him very often, he hides under my gravel and ornaments. Sand would be the better option im considering changing over to sand but yeh hes awesome no bother at all.

Yes i went back and complained and the best they could do was a £20 gift card even though i explained the shrimp i already had in there were worth £50+. They dont seem to really care about the welfare of shrimps to be honest. I havent dropped it though iv took this up with customer services.

I highly doubt it was the cory mine dont bother with anything including shrimp. My guess it just died or the betta attacked it. All fish hover around dead shrimps or fish for food n sometimes look the culprit when they arent! X

I bought new plants from pets at home and some shrimps. I put the plants straight in along with the shrimps. Unfortunately pets at home failed to mention they use pesticide on their plants and it completely wiped my whole shrimp tank out. I know it makes sense to wash them but iv never been told...

Not sure about the kribs but I have rummynoses and neons and harlequins living with 5 amanos and they are all thriving. My amanos did bully my cherrys though and amanos if hungry can eat cherrys whivh I think was happening in mine so I seperated them x

Thanks for the advice, I kept 80% of the sponge in the old tank and put 20% of it in the new tank, baring in mind i also completely swapped the filters themselves round. (This is getting complicated) lol. Anyway ive left it all alone now because i didnt want to make it worse by constantly...

Hi, well i swapped filters completely as it was sucking my shrimp up and it is better suited to the new tank. What do you suggest i do? Put the filter sponges in their original places and just swap the filters?

Hi i actually swapped my filters completely round so my new tank has my old filter and my old tank has the new filter. Is this okay? I swapped bits of the sponge round also so both filters had bacteria on it. I tested the new tank and everything was 0 except for nitrate which was 40 i believe...

Can i use mature filter media from my current mature tank? If so how is best to do this? I have already added some decorations and 2 moss balls to the new tank.

I already have 2 bee shrimp they are black n white stripey and dont look like this :\ iv also got amano, cherry,yellow,orange,green,rednose and glass breeds so im pretty sure its none of those. Pretty stumped to be honest!
