No because I don't have any test strips but I'm pretty sure in my area it's super hard. I think when I tested it it was the darkest level of red on the strip :/
Thank you and yes I'm doing water changes decently often. I did about 25% twice a week but I'm not sure if that's too often or too much. So I moved it to once a week. What would be best?
Yes I did get him recently, a few weeks ago from PetSmart. And that's good I'm glad he's not sick. I wish I could have gotten all the bettas there they looked so sick and sad ):
Hi, my betta Pepper has been losing his color in his tail. It started as being red all the way to the edges when I first got him. Now the color is receding into itself. There is no splitting or anything but I'm not sure what could be causing this :/ he seems happy and healthy, a new bubble nest...
dont have any of that sadly, and the curve of the tank makes it seem quite full but from the side it looks quite sparse because all the plants are in the back, his big green plant is his fav and hes been exploring a bit more. ill try and get a sponge asap. would turning off his filter sometimes...
alright ill try and get something for the current. the shipping prices on the pre filter sponge are ridiculous and i cant really go to a store for it because of current events. :/
well i dont really want a 5 gallon because i just spent a lot on this tank and rocks and new plants :/ its a lot bigger than his last . and he never looks stuck really, but the current is pretty strong. ive seen him go near it and it pushed him down. but thats the filter from his old tank...
