I've hatched some brine shrimp in a 250ml hatchery. The instructions said half a tea spoon but I miss read and put a tea spoon of eggs in. 24 hours have passed and I can see shrimp have hatched.
But could more hatch in another 24 hours? Or once some hatch they all hatch?
Just wondering if...
I know exact date/times cannot be given.
But from the pictures could anyone have an educated guess on if she could give birth in the next few days or weeks.
The last 7 days I've noticed she has got bigger, but last few days she's stayed the same.
I currently have a fluval u1 filter, just the sponge in.
I've upgraded to a cannister filter from 'All Pond Solutions' I got the EF-150.
Now do I just swap the filter and the old water will cycle it? Do I leave both filters in for now?
Never swapped filters before & never had one with Bio-Balls...
Had the molly fish about 1 month now, have 3 females & 1 male. I know she is pregnant. But I've never actually had molly fish before so unsure if this is normal in pregnancy or something to worry about.
The white poop has only started this morning and this is her 2nd one from what I've seen.
I've been cycling a tank and done tests for last 5 days and everything is spot on. This was meant to be for guppy/molly fry.
Anyway, I seen an ad for free apistogramma panduro, the main pair had babies and they couldn't look after them, so they needed to go or be flushed.
I couldn't let this...
I got a new tank Friday, it was also water change day for my current tank (been setup for 12 months, also bought this second hand but came with water he was using).
I've never cycled a tank before.
So I filled a bucket with around 12 litres of tap water and squeezed the filter sponge from...
I bought a 2nd hand tank, came with gravel and then this black substrate.
Was told it was for aquascaping & good for plants.
Anyone know what this substrate is?
Also should the water be that black when it's wet?
Or does it need a good good clean?
