I have a lovely marble molly which for past 2 days has been getting weaker and weaker. Is clearly dying. Should I just wait for the event or should I get it out of the tank and flush it off. Do you think they suffer?
Secondly should I have more than one of a species or is it recommended to...
[Many thanks tautitan and adandrews for algae advice. I take it there is no chemical cleaner you can just add to the water so will have a go at what you suggest. I've been told those magnetised cleaning thingies shouldnt only be used on glass - mines an acrylic tank.
Cheers!
Have had my Aqua One acrylic tank for 3 months and am concerned about the build up of algae on the substrate, artificial plants and rocks and particularly on the insides. Is there a chemical to help clear this or is it an elbow job? If the latter, then how do you clean the pebble substrate?
Have done a 50% water change and have following results:
Nitrite: O
Nitrate: 20
PH: 7.6
Ammonia: 2
Thats a big drop in ammonia, thank goodness! Will try a 80/90% water change tomorrow. Very much appreciate your help.
Thanks
Back from holiday to find feeding by neighbour went very well and community appeared thriving. However my test showed horrific ammonia levels. Is water changing the ONLY solution - my ph/nitrite/nitrate are within recommended tolerances - so whats with this ammonia problem?

I,ve now introduced 10 fish to my new 60ltr aquarium (on advice of my fish supplier) and wonder how much food I should be feeding them? The mixture is guppies, mollies and swords. I take it the pump/thermostat should be left on all the time but the lighting turned off overnight? Am monitoring...
Thanks Mark and Wolfie too. Will make a point of checking them out - I'll need all the help and advice I can get. Had a small aquarium many years ago so looking forward to starting up again. Cheers!
Hi! Recently located to south Kent UK and interested in starting a tropical aquarium from scratch. There are quite a few suppliers listed on line in this area - can any member recommend one in the Ashford/Folkestone area? I'd feel more comfortable following up a recommended supplier rather...
