Just appeared, i've got ghost shrimp, assassin snails, couple tracked nerite snails..........and do algae eaters lay eggs? They're actually all over the logs in the tank.

huh, they just kinda did breed...must be doing something right then haha. Shes still carrying so think i'm gonna put her in a seperate tank like you suggested.

Thanks for the information.   I've just had a look at a whole load of different shrimp and mine are known as amano shrimp, does that make any difference? or would you still do the same thing?   Thanks

Well yeah thats what I meant, you can see shes full of eggs and shes kind of pulsating. Do you know if that means shes quite far gone? I read it takes between 20 and 30 days for the eggs to hatch.

Hi! Had a problem with my tank a while ago, had an algae bloom but thanks to advice on here i've got it all sorted and now looks beautiful!!   I found 5 baby swordtails not long after sorting it too so I must be doing something right.   Well, thing is one of my ghost shrimps is now pregnant...

I got some stuff to clear the green algae today and I was told I have the light on too long, I normally have them on for 12 hours, so yes I have them on too long. Gonna start turning them on when I come in from work. haha, just as I get over 1 hurdle I come to another   Thanks for all your help.

OK! so its now gone green! So i'm gathering its to do with algae. My other half reckons I have the lights on for too long and thats helping the growth. How do I get rid of this?

I'm really pleased to see you've reported him. Its sickening. I just keep thinking about how those poor fish feel. He obviously realises hes going to get a backlash for that post, hes wanting to get a rise. DIsgusting, just disgusting!

Thats good to know as I was just going to say...Its done it again! Took me a while to do the change and then the next day it was starting to get cloudy again and now its back to what it looked like in the picture I posted. So plenty water changes and ride it out. Thank you!  OH! I forgot to...

Couldnt do it, It got so bad that I could barely see the fish. I've done a massive water change as near to 90% as I could get. Looks much better, still a little bit cloudy but we'll wait and see how that pans out.

Thanks, I'll give the 2 of those a go I think. Its been 2 days since my last water change so I'll start with leaving it and if no joy then i'll go for the big task of 90% change. It can't be all that bad......I have a baby fish
