Dose the chemical you used contain copper. If so ALLWAYS half the first dose then 3/4 dose then full dose. If a fish has not been exposed to copper before it can do alot of damage. i.e kill them.

The trouble with some plecs is the water conditions are not ideal for them but the bristlenose should be fine but you may need to feed them extra. If so feed an hour after the lights have gone out.

Yes they will. If they cant fit them in their mouth they will pick at them. If you want a algie eater in a cichlid tank sucking loaches are ok because they a quite aggressive and quick. I had 3 in my 150 Gallon tank for 6 years with 45 2"-8" cichlids. ;)
Is the fry in your main tank or in a seperat tank? If in main tank there is not a lot you can feed them that the other fish wont eat. If in a seperat tank then move the female out but dont put her in the main tank as she will be week because she has not eaten for 2-3 weeks. You will need to...
You can put most comunity fish in with bettas as long as they are not "fin nippers".
Cory's are fine. With mine I have got 3X Cory's, 2X gourami, 6X Neons, 6X Harliquins, 1X Fire belly Newt and a Red tail shark. They all get on Fine!!! :rolleyes:
