    Giving Fish

I would say they probably have to be on a flake diet at at least 75% the size of what they sell.

Perfectly Healthy Kissing Gouramis Dropping Like Flies

I doubt a ph crash because we only started using ro just for the past water change the first 3 died on tap water. The other random ones are a hi fin tetra(rescued), flying fox( baby can't do any harm 1.5" max) and some shrimp. 36 gallon

    Condisation Inside Heater

Condensation inside the heater can only mean it's no longer water tight. Unless its one of those crappy glass with the blue top that clamps onto the rim.

Perfectly Healthy Kissing Gouramis Dropping Like Flies

Here were the stats of my water when the last fish died. 36g Amm - 0 Nitrite - 0 Nitrate - 40 We figured it was the large amounts of nitrates. Her tap tested at 20ppm. We did a change with RO and it dropped to around 10-20ppm. We bought a new kissing gourami, it hid for the first day, came out...

    Aquapod Aquarium Systems

The only thing you will have to change on the aquapod is the pump, they run hot and pump very little, and the actinic bulb. I actually just converted mine from saltwater to fresh after my prized fish died and I just gave up on saltwater. They're perfect for nano sized freshwater planted...

    Making A Refugem

I've been told to find the source of the problem before trying to mask the problem. What kind of algea? Cyano, hair? You probably have either build up of phosphates. Or just get a small clump of cheato and put it in a clear soap dish with suction cups for a cheap in tank refuguim.

    One Light Input In Hood

gut it, buy some sockets and slap 3 bulbs in there and buy an electronic ballast that's able to control up to 3 f20t8s and build an external box for it. Better yet, buy a glass top, and a new light strip with power compacts.

    Plants Don't Pearl...

Ok here's the deal. When I first set up my girlfriends 36g bow, I built a custom light with 4 20w tubes. I had java ferns and other easy plants. I also had the nutrifin co2 thing on a custom mix. They pearled a little. Months went by and I replaced the tubes after 12 months with tubes made for...

    Dying Ciclid, Help Needed

I've used sub 32 degree salt water to put down my dying tetras. Lots say freezing water is painful, but as soon as they drop in they are gone. The shock is too much and they stop breathing immediately.
