I was thinking of making the 10 gallon an invert tank. I was thinking of getting some of those bamboo plants they have at Petsmart. I have been asking around and people have told me I can have them as long as I don't have them fully submerged. I think I'll be better at keeping inverts than fish...

I'll leave the betta out of the 10g. Are any of the fish you mentioned hardy. I've never owned any of them.

Its a very plain setup. I want to put a female betta in the 10g. What elso could go in there? I was also thinking of making it an invert tank. If I put sea shells in the tank would that be all the calcium i would need for snails? The pH here is pretty hard.
