I would think that it isnt illegal to use feeders, when pike fishing in the uk i have seen livebait used many times(and to good effect!) and the baliffs walking about working for the environment agency have never said not to do it.
yeh i know, i might sell/give it away when i do the same with the 8 danio fry ive got, but it isnt being aggresive or fin nipping or anything and seems fine so for the time being its staying. It may be a while before i get the sparkling gouramis anyway i just wanted to know if they would be...
Would it be ok to keep 3 sparkling gourami with what i have allready?
In 10g tank allready:-
1 platy
1 zebra danio
1 molly
or are they small enough to be eaten or harrased by them?
Tom
Sorry
NH3= ammonia (gas)
NH4=ammonium (dissolved/ionic)
NO3= Nitrate
NO2= Nitrite
just FYI
Ammonia 0mg/l
Nitrite 0.1mg/l
Nitrate 5mg/l
pH - 7
The fish are looking fine besides the platy who seems to have not improved but i only added the med 1hr ago so hopefully he will improve later.
Water stats from today:-
NH3/NH4 - 0mg/l
NO2 - 0.1mg/l
NO3 - 5mg/l
pH - 7
The flubenol also arrived today so i have followed the istructions and added it to the tank, how long should it be before i see results if any?
Tom
sorry, didnt notice the link, do you know where i can get it? is it in many shops or is it a specialised sort of thing? i would rather buy from a shop to cut down on time as i dont know how long its got left
loobie
" take it you haven't done a fishless cycle before putting the fish in?? If you haven't, have you been using a test kit to monitor the water stats (I know you've said that the test kit will be arriving tom) is this the first one or another one?? What type is it?"
Yes 1st test kit, it is...
the situation has gotten far worse.
Today one of my dalmation mollies died out of the blue, (swimming around fine, 2 hours later dead), the platy still shows the same symptoms however he has got slightly better and seems to swim around occasionally but slightly lethargically and also takes some...
I have ordered some testing gear but i am without for the moment,
the fish doesnt look bloated or show any of the symptoms you described but i will try the peas anyway.
Tom
hi,
My male platy has become ill. The past day or so it has spent most of his time hiding either by the filter of by the plants. It is not eating well and has clear strigy poo. I have done a 20pc water change but theres no change in his behaviour.
Whats wrong and can i treat it?
thanks in...
