All I have to do to make mine flare is look at him.

Do any of you feed your bettas betta flakes? A friend of mine feed's his the flakes.

I just bought my betta fish a few days ago. He's not my first but it's been a while since I've had one. Anyway, everytime I look over the top of the bowl his gills flare and he charges at me like he wants to fight me. Does anyone else's betta fish do that? Also when I put pellets in to feed him...
