    Tangs And Wood?

the only way to find out is just by testing your water, wood will defineately cause a drop in ph, also especially mopani wood in my experience can discolour your water even if you do allow it to leach out in buckets before its in the tank, in my opinion wood has no place in a tang tank.

    African Cichlids

rusty plecos are great for an african setup, mines doing really well in a frontosa tank and they eat fish , if you went with an mbuna setup this would be ideal too.

    Damn Damn Damn Green Algea

I do water checks every other week, ammonia is 0, nitrites are hardly detectable, nitrate levels are safe, I went to my LFS and they said to do 5 to 10% water change every other day or 2 for about a week, i tried this and it worked but the minuite i stopped doing them it came back, i think...

    Damn Damn Damn Green Algea

I have a beautiful frontosa setup, i absolutely adore my fish and my tank, the only thing that detracts is the horrible smear type patterns that appear on the inside of the glass and the amount of algae on the glass surfaces. Rocks and decor dont appear to be affected that badly, i have no idea...

    Ammonia Build up

I have the exact same problem with fish poop building up at the bottom of the tank, the only way to do it is to do water changes every 2 days to clear it out 10% to 25% max this is for 2 reasons. Doing a huge waterchange may result in losing some of your benificial bacteria in the filter...
