I had one fail in the ON position and lost a full tank of stock :(.Yo be safe throw it out and buy a new one for the sake of £15 to £20 it's not worth the risk..

2 months ago i cut my finger a tiny cut so thought nothing of it,i then had a new tank given which i cleaned out and prepared for use.Over the next week or so i then noticed my cut looking a bit weepy and red again thought nothing of it within a few days my finger was swollen and so was my hand...

Got my new tank 36g bow fronted stocked was settling before the accident current contents are 2 platy's 2x molies 1 albino catfish 1 red tailed shark and 1 guppy and the 2 baby molies i rescued.Looking good will try to post a pic.Any recomendations of what other tankmates to add?.

Yeah think that is definatley my next plan of attack 2x heaters at half the wattage, as for age of heater just short of a year if i remember rightly.

Whilst myself and my girlfreind were at work our aquarium heater failed in the on postion the result was a 36G tank full of boiled fish and shrimps some of which ive had for several years (i felt like crying to be honest all the effort and love put into it and worse of all having to explain it...

Pop to local fish store dude should have plenty of remedies there always worth popping your head round the door there 1st the sooner the better.As for causes could be a few reasons like fungal infection/injury to name the most common any other problems like loss of appetite ?

Ive got 5 amano shrimps great little critters to watch and good clean up crew.

Im curently treating my other tank for dropsy ive 5 amano shrimps in there can they contrat dropsy or can they be carriers of it ? as i want to start anothrr tank and rescue what survies.

loses have slowed down and have treated tank raised temp to 30c and will retreat in 4 to 4 days i think its a case of holding my breath and see what make it thru.Can shrimps contract it ?.
