Hey guys I have just started a new 10 gallon setup and would realy like to put some plants in it. Right now I have a 15watt bulb and and rocks at the bottom. I want to know if it is better to use sand or rocks for growing healty plants?

For A beginner I would get a smaller tank and work your way up. But 30 gallons should be fine for you. Me personally I buy my tanks at the store not online just because I don't trust shipping. It depends on what type of fish you like and how mush time you like to spend on your fish and equipment...
Well since I live in southern louisiana it was horriable down here. But my house did not get flooded so there ok and my water comes out of a spring ang my water is fine.
Hey guys I need help. I am not sure if my swordtail is eather sick or just resting. Well one of my female swordtails is just hangingout by the top of the filter all day. She sits there and stays in the same spot all the timie until I feed them. What do you think could be a problem?
