A 17 gallon is AWESOME for a betta! Maybe a nice planted with some snails as said above. He/she will think that he/she is in heaven! lol

Cool betta!! though you need to put him in a betta tank or bowl because that is a little bit small. But it's okay for now. Good luck with your betta!:)

So sorry metromyers :sad: But be happy though because you saved him from the store that you bought him from because if you didn't somebody else that didn't know how to take care of fish would have killed him probably. I'm sure Charlie was a really good fish

Yes they are pregnant. How long have they been having the black patch? If it is very black and big, and also if the black patch is right under and right where the pooping area is then it is very close to due date. Also look for the signs about the two fish, if they are both away from the other...

Yeah put in some plants in their for the babies. But she won't eat them until after about 7, 8, or 9 hours.
