I have a 60 litre tank, parametres ... pH..........8.0 Nitrite.....0.1 Nitrate.....5 Ammonia.....0 tank fish are... 5 golden barbs. 3 females guppies 4 neon tet's have had the barbs just over 2 months now. Tank wa started with quick start which came with the tank.

One of my golden barbs has developed a red blotch near it's tail? It still swims about with the other four and seems to be healthy enough. Any idea's on what it might be? Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Well I have no idea what has happened. came in from the back garden to see the golden barb going crazy behind the plant and found the female guppy lying there dead???????? But as to the scales, they were all flat and smooth looking across the body

I did have a male in with the 2 females I have but I found him dead 2 weeks ago?

Hi Coleen. I have a Marina 60, 60x35x35

New tank is up and running smoothly now, fish are doing great. Am thinking of adding some Blue Pearl Shrimp to add some colour to the tank, how many would be enough? So far I have 5 Golden Barbs, 1 male Guppy and 2 females.

Dont worry about offending me coleen, I have a thick skin and an even thicker head lol. I use a product called "I love fish Tap water" for dechlorination from my local pets at home store. My tank parts are........ Aquarium.... Marina Style Glass Aquarium Tropical Set 60 litre 60x30x35cm...

Thanks fishyfeet, I will make a list although as it's only a 60litre (13 gallon) tank there wont be many fish in it, at present I have 5 golden barbs and 3 male guppies. As to where I'm from, it's Lowestoft.
