I quarantined her and treated her/him with Maracyn 2 but it was too late. She/he was never holding babies. Other fish have been holding and we have Mbuna at several stages of life. Should I treat the entire tank...if a bacteria is in all of them? It is a well established tank and biological...

The fish is dead so no need to reply.....but does anyone know how to contact a fish vet in the AR area?

Can someone help diagnose this fish, she's not eating and has a white growth and a red sore. We do have a pleco she could have got scratched by but do not think that's it. She is not eating and all water parameters are normal.

I would not give them cruciferous vegetables. Instead I would try zucchini, cucumber or peas. You can do spinach or lettuce although mine do not eat the lettuces. I also use Repashi and put cucumber, peas and zucchini.

I have a Kenyi Mbuna with free swimming fry in a fry tank. They are swimming but are still going in and out of the mother's mouth. Is it time to move the mama back to the regular tank or should I give her a few days to recover and be with the fry?

Colin: I treated with general cure, vacuumed, did the water changes, repeated. That orange fish got worse and worse and still ate. Then she swelled up like a balloon, face everything (see pics). Then 2 days later she stopped eating and died. Do you think this is an internal bacterial infection then?

Thank you! I have white crushed coral sand....should I vacuum it or throw it out and replace?

Mbunas though? They are suppose to vegetarians!
