This is a fish forum but For some advice on cough medicine id say go to a doc and ask him. Maybe its a chest infection. Its not my place to judge ur habits. Thanks for sharing tho.
Thanks for the advice on olants and food, i will definatley get somebloodworms and look up the rest.
Ps im...
Thats a good explanation above. Definatley return the females. Guppies breed like mad. Have an all male tank. Personally i would keep no more than 10 in a 30 litre as guppies can get quite big. Even then its not ideal. Make sure you add cycle or stability accordingly when cleaning and adding...
Im so sorry this has happened.:-( maybe ask at your fish store as it may be bacterial in which case melafix would be better. As far as im aware fungal r usually on the outside of the fish but dont take my word for that. Also i cant see the black spots perhaps my screen isnt as good quality as...
So is anyone going to answer my question please? i will rehome fish as they grow too large.25% water change should be fine as tetras are liw waste but il keep an eye on the ammonia levels etc and Chang as required. So........Plants? food? etc. I notice on this forum people have alot to say but...
ok so i rehomed 10 fish including the rosys and the blue gourami. i have now as follows:
1 pearl gourami male
10 black neons
8 cardinals
5 golden minnows
2 panda cory cats
2 peppered cory cats
5 male guppies
2 bristlenose 1 male and 1 female.
will leave it at that with weekly 25% water change...
i have a jewel filter, its tall rectangle and there is a gap between the glass and filter. my big fish dont go near but my bristlenose practically lives behing it. its his fav spot. at one time he even dug a nest under it and my female layed eggs. the smaller fish are able to swim in and out of...
iv decided to overhaul my tank. i have rehomed a number of fish where they were small numbers of different species in favour of having more fish of the same species. i have a 60l. 60cml 30 tall and 30 wide. it is a jewel 60. ph 7.2 nitrite 0 nitrate 4 ammonia 0. contains 2 fake plants a chunk of...
i wont add more but perhaps rehome my blue. i cant bear to part with my pearl. hes my favourite haha. he has seemed to stop chasing the female now. perhaps it was bacause i had recently fed them...maybe he was chasing her away from a flake.
thanks guys
i have had most of these fish in this tank size for 2 years and a few less of these in a smaller tank before hand. it seems to me that the number of fish allowed in a tank in the us is different for what they say here in nz. admittedly my blue has lived with me for almost 2 years and she is a...
when cycling you shpuld be checking the ammonia and nitrite levels however they will often correct themselfs after a spike in turn. mine did this when i got my new tank. those top fish are defdinately tiger barbs. aggro fish very nippy you need 8plus to manage them. the bottom fish id say is...
i will just add......do not add too many fish at once or the ammonia levels can spike and they will die quickly. just add a fer every so many days or weeks to let the filter cope with the waste levels from the fish. goodluck. :-)
his belly looks ok to me as i keep cardinals and they are similar looking bellys. the red looks a little fuzzy in that area usually. my ph is 7.2 as thats how it comes out the tap. and i never had any problems. often fish can adapt to different ph levels so as long as its not extreme they will...
this is extremely strange i just have to say. platys and guppies are not saltwater fish. they are freshwater tropicals. my sister has these in her tank and i have some guppies in mine. both tanks are freshwater. iv never heard of them being in saltwater before unless you count adding epsom salts...
