if you want to keep the fry, there are complications. you have to keep them in a seperate tank, in other words a birthing tank, you have to feed them with a special liquid food. its not until the molly has finished giving birth she will eat a baby. i am looking forward to fry as well...

about 2-3 clown loaches. they wont bother bettas if you give them a cave or a place to hide. 2 or 3 swordtails do the trick but make sure you get a female other wise the males try to rear their swords into each other. :*

what about a breeding net? take out the danios and put the guppies in the net. the fry will be safe from lunch time and you guppies wont be harmed. how about that? :rofl:

:P its all right i understand. i have my female in a tank with a siamise fighting fish and a bristlenose. it was with 2 male guppies that kept nudging her. :wub:

:( sorry to hear about your loss. maybe a few big fish might do the trick, might teach it a lesson or two. try kissing goriamis, siamise fighting fish ( make sure its only 1male with a female ) and hony goriamis. good luck :thumbs:

:S i am going out of my mind. my female tiger barb is due to lay eggs and so is my guppy who is nearly due to give birth. but what does it mean when you cant she the gravid spot on the guppy, why is it red? why is my tiger barb not coming down from the filter?

what have you been feeding them? if it is that flake stuuf it can hurt their stomich and can get in their throt. there is this liquid food for young that might help. + Did you feed the female after she gave birth? After fish give birth or lay eggs they lose a lot of weght, and need to...

:/ i woudnt if i were you. if the fish see something move, the will think it is live food. do you have a discus? they protect their young and others.
