Couldn't get peas, at least not in anything recognizable as a pea! Haha the dining hall overcooks them in massive amounts of butter.

I fed the broccoli last night and the fish seem do be doing ok this morning. How long should I starve for?

Oh great, broccoli is really easy to get around here, I will grab some tonight. I'm glad to hear about the flakes being better than pellets. I have heard from several people that I should be feeding pellets, but I have an almost full container of flakes that I didn't want to waste.

I'm not checking the water stats as I am at college...4 hours away from all my supplies. I will be home in two weeks though, so I can get them then. I feed everyday, although since this problem started I have been feeding every other day to see if that helped. I will try the pea idea and see...

I currently have three betta fish who after every feeding begin floating. I know that overfeeding can cause this, however I am only feeding them a few flakes. I have had several betta fish in the past and have never had this problem. Does anyone know what is going on? and how I can prevent it?
