so correct me if im wrong, but a few weeks ago both ammonia and nitrites were high, now the ammonia seems to be around 0 ppm and the nitrItes and nitrAtes higher than before,,, does this mean that my cycle is back on,  track..... or on its way to being on track to be fully cycled    ammonia up...

had 2 snails die in last 4 days and surprisingly the ammonia has been low its the nitrItes and  NitrAtes that are spiked... they seemed to die after the water changes     i just did a water change 2 hours ago, took the snail out 1 hour ago. Should i still do another or wait till tomorrow?  ...

i just tested the TAP water and is as follows   Ammonia - 0 ppm   NitrItes - .25 ppm   NitrAtes - 20 ppm

    i  checked the levels a while back, like 3 weeks ago, found some nitrates in there but no ammonia, you got me curious to check them now though   amd yes hes dead.. he didnt move when i poked him

  Bro, i know this...   I have been doing a lot of water changes, its not like i do 1 change a week, sorry i missed a day due to being tired....and having a prego wife as well.   its only been recently when i believe you mentioned to " do the math" when doing my water changes that i needed to do...

did not do a water change yesterday, but i did check levels about 45 minutes ago and they were as follows   Ammonia 0-.25ppm   Nitrites - 4 ppm (Edit) After looking it seems to be @ 6ppm, its a dark pink not violet or purple   Nitrates 80-100ppm? not quite brown color,(wich indicates 160ppm) but...

so that is why they love hanging by the filter and bubbler, for the stream.....   we did a 90 percent water change last night, will do another 80 percent today..   why did my nitrates jump? they have always chilled around 10ppm now at 40-80

just tested the water... readings are as follows   Nh3 - > .50 ppm   Nitrites - 2 ppm   NitrAtes - 40-80 ppm (cant quite tell)   Ph - 7.2 prior readings were   Nh3 - 2 ppm Nitrites - 5 ppm Ph - 7.8

yes  we have 5 fish (2 guppies 3 glowfish) 3 mystery snails and a dwarf frog and they all seem fine. thats the wierd part

ok. soits been a week and the levels are not changing.. they ammonia and nitrates actually went up due to a snail dying,, did a water change and levels are still high,,,   4ppm ammonia and 2ppm nitrites      do i have to change the water changes from once a day to 2-4 times a day?... i can not...
