Ocean nutrition make a good brand - look for Atisons betta food on ebay. Hikari Betta Bio Gold pellets are good too and you can get them from pets@home. Supliment with daphnia or other live food but avoid feeding too many blood worm as it may increase the likelyhood of dropsy.

I have a heavily planted 20g tank and have tried keeping a pair of rams in there. Even with loads of hiding spots, caves and all the plants and bogwood one ram always ends up dominant and harasses the other to death.

My local P@H (southampton) has paradise fish right now. There's also a place in fareham (portsmouth area) that I have seen them in recently.

Some corys are quite happy at 20C. Peppered seems often quoted as one so I'd ignore the doubters and keep them - You say they are breeding, have you had any success in actually rearing the fry at these lower temperatures too? I'm really interested with this as I reckon sub-tropical with LED...

Paradise fish would be quite happy in 20C. I've seen them around quite a lot recently too.

I agree entirely, its very frustrating knowing that effective treatment is available but unobtainable. Some US ebay sellers ship internationally and I've considered trying to get stuff sent over but don't really want to risk it. Mark
