ok...so, all the good bacteria from the cycle is in the filter. what happens when you change the filter after a few weeks?

ok...so, someone please tell me if this is correct: to cycle a tank without fish, you need a source of ammonia and a source of bacteria...so, if i'm using stress zyme or a similar product, i still need a source of ammonia? and..i should test the water daily, and when the ammonia/nitrate levels...

thanks.. i'm thinking i may get platies instead of swordtails since they're smaller...and then get more cories. can i get 5 of one type of cory and 5 of another? or do they prefer to be in schools of single species?

Hey all, I was hoping to get some insight on how to stock my tank. It's 37g (30x12x22). I'm looking to get 5 cory cats (probably false jullis), 4 swordtails (1 male 3 female), and 2 pearl gouaramis...any feedback? Thanks!
