Hi Nemo, I checked my density again. Still at 1.026/35. Is that not right? I do use RO water and I have always had small amounts of phosphates. I can only do small water changes like 3 gallons at a time. Could the phosphates be coming from the salt I use?

Sometimes, even fish that have suffered from ammonia will act ok for a day or so after a water change because they aren't being "burnt" by it anymore but the damage is often done.
