Thanks people! I used ice packs to cool down the water, two fish went into shock! ;( I unplugged th eheater and it has been doing fin, I'll keep a watch on it! :good:

I have two young discus 1 bala shark 3 tetras adn 2 dwarf gouriami's. Will one frozen nutrition cube be enough daily?

I don't know what happened I came upstairs and looked in my fish tank, two fish were dead! the temp was a little over 14 degrees to high!!!! WHAT HAPPENED! the only thing i have done diferently was adding some water clarifier, I don't think that is it but unitl i figure this out I'm not adding...

Alright, I got some new(better) filters to try out(the old ones were cheap) and some water clarifier. We will see what happens, Thanks

the "smelly stuff" is my filter. When the filter is dirty and needs changed it is brown(when clean it is blue.) Am I doing something wrong, or what is the problem here. Usually filters dont stink after a day, i hope... :)

It will smell nasty almost like rotten fish, or nasty rotten fish water. I know that doesn't but make much since but it is hard to explain,, just smells nasty... By changing it I mean taking out the filter part (it is a blue square filter with charcole on the inside) Plus my water usually stays...

Why does my filter always reek? I change it more than twice a month. I'll change it, then the next morning it will smell awful again. Why?

Just got some new apple snails, should they be floating on the top of the tank? When my other snails floated they died, these tend to float a while then the next morning they will be back on the bottom. Normal?

No, they do not resemble yours at all. You have beautiful discus! :good: I wish snake skins were available where I live, I would have to drive waaay out of state to get a hold of them. I love mine though :)

I have posted the codes from photo bucket three times. Obviously i have been unsuccessful... I post them and the next time I get on the site they are gone. My snails are curled up on the bottom of the tank, they haven't been out or moved in 2 days. Since they are noe eating I have had algae...

Here we go, I posted these earlier and then the next time I got on the site they were gone... Oh well here they are again. I have done this serveral times but the posts just keep disapearing...
