Well, Im new to the hobby and when i started a few months ago i set a goal to get a pair of kribs to breed. I never expected the fry this soon though! I knew they had eggs in their cave but being young parents I totally expected them to eat their first few sets of eggs! I returned home today...

I am thinking of adding a group of otos to my tank (isolation tank first of corse) but while doing my research i keep reading about the importance of slowly introducing them to the tank... Are they just talking about slowly adding water from the tank into the bag before they make the plunge...

and am i right in assuming the otos would be a no-no? Any other suggestions?

Hi everybody, I currently have a 60 gal. moderatly planted tank which only houses a pair of kribensis and six serpae tetras. PH levels are between 7.5 and 8. I was hoping someone could maybe point out a tankmate or two that would be able to hold their own against the sometimes agresive kribs...

guppyman, untill yesterday i was having the same trouble. I had a nasty female that was attacking the serpae tetras relentlessly. I tried to calm her down by adding the male but she nearly killed him in the first hour so i took her back to the store and got a little bit smaller female... bout...

pica... the serpae are prolly bout 1 1/2" whereas the krib is about 3". guppyman... i know they like to pair up and that was my plan for the near future but i wanted to see how the female would interact with the tetras first... ha! well... i guess ill go get a male and then moniter the tank...
