Presently my Betta is living in a 1 gal tank. I could soak the wheel or media in that. As far as water flo, I'll see if ithat can be slowed down. I'm still collecting sand (pool filter) growing media and plants. I like live plants. Thank you for your help.

I'm planning on setting up a small 3 gallon Eclipse with pool sand some sort of media and hardy plants. This will be a home for my Betta. The Eclipse has a filter /biowheel housed in its canopy. I plan to cycle the tank and would like to know if I should run the filter with or without the bio...

Not yet. Just an order confirmation from Big Al's. I'll be patient. I do have burnin' Betta question and I'm not supposed to ask it here. :sad:

Thanks Jams. The storm did mostly external damage to my home and property. Fortunately the roof held. No fish yet. Have a ten gallon tank that was collecting dust for the past year while I took care of family biz. Got to stay away from the LFS till I get it cycled. This will eventually wind up...

Registered on this fine board some time ago. A lot has happened since, including a major hurricane. My thoughts are once again returning to fish keeping. Sooo... I feel that I may be a better caretaker with the help of board such as this. Tony-(aka Scratch)
