    Blind Cave Tetra Extremely Aggressive?

Hey, I've been keeping fish for a while now, have had a blind cave tetra for over a year, he has always been peaceful and been moved around my community tanks and mostly got on with the other fish. He was in a 100litre tank with just a male betta, about 4 female guppies and a spiny eel. Last...

    Breeding Bettas

hi there, tank set up is pretty basic, i have some gravel (not much) in the bottom of the tank. I mostly put that in to make it look nice as i placed them in the lounge so i could watch them more carefully. there is floating plants, heater, no filtration currently (its off). about 20 litre...

    Breeding Bettas

Maybe I should take her to the breeders with me and let her pick one out herself. Like speed dating for fish :P

    Breeding Bettas

I think she just doesn't "fancey" him... I think I might put her back in her original tank and try again in a week or so. I dont want to cause her to much stress and I dont want to risk things turning nasty in the night.

    Breeding Bettas

I won't lie, I have NEVER bred bettas before! That's why I'm asking for advice :$ I've owned bettas for 2 years now, I have only had 9 though. As you said, it's expensive as they must all be kept seperately. The female in question, is unusually timid compared to my others and is very very...

    Breeding Bettas

Hello, I purchased 2 unrelated female dragon bettas from a good breeder. I was very pleased with them as they are stunning fish, but within a week I realised that one was a male, just an immature male. (they were around 4 months when I got them and he did look VERY much like a female) Well...

Ohhhh.... I dont know what to do with "her" now. :| I really wanted them to go in my main tank... Eep. Oh well, I guess he will have to live in a the glass bowl forever. Do you think he will grow at all? I dont really know what age they reach full size. Thanks for helping me out, trying to...

    Male Or Female Betta?

I have seen it flare its gills before, at the other female, it did have a small amount of beard, but not much compared to most siamese fighters, though as I said, its very small, about 1.2 inches. Also if it was male I'm not sure why it would attack the female?

    Male Or Female Betta?

Ok, trying to take a photo completely failed, the camera wasnt good enough so I gave up. I found a picture of the fish in the tank, from the place I ordered them from, She looks exactly like the green ones in the picture. (Also the ventral fins appear longer)

    Male Or Female Betta?

Hello. I purchased 2 female dragon bettas and had them delivered to my house. They arrived healthy and everything was fine. I put them into a tank (150 litres) together with a few other fish and everything seemed ok at first. Then the smaller of the 2 females started nipping the other fish and...

    Baby Whale?

Thanks for that, I thought they might be getting stressed so seperated them this morning. I'm currently working on an entire tank rethink as I seem to have quite a few fish dotted around in seperate tanks that are rather large tanks, but only have a couple of fish in. The baby whale is now...
