Hey guys hope you can help me. I have an sl150 amiracle system that has been working fine for 3 months. Now I see it is bubbling out of the small hole on the top cover above the bio balls. It almost seems liek the water cant go down fast enough through the tray. I found another tray with more...
I've also heard alot about stimulating a tangs appetite with green/algae dipped in garlic extracts?? Anyone heard of this? I heard it's also semi affective fighting ich.
I have no live rock in the tank. I preffered the convention method (old style) fish only. Less headaches.....I have my sl250 wet/dry to do all the biological filtration. I have a grocery list to go shopping for keep up the good ideas
We just got a Powder Blue Tang a few weeks ago and although she is very shy she is finally picking at the ocean nutrition seaweed select algae clips. I feel liek thi swont be enough for her however. With all the fish in the tank I feed them formula 1 & 2 pellets, freeze dried plankton and marine...
I have tried staying away from most inverst as we are doign a fish only tank. But I would like for our fish health reasons and cleaning some shrimp. But I am a little concerned about my picasso trigger, although he is friendly with all the other fish I place in the tank I dont know how he'd be...
So let me get this straight?? I have wanted a cleaner shrimp in my fish only tank for ever but was afraid to get him because I figured he couldnt survive without live rock. I do have tangs and a bunch of fish....what do you think?
Well the protein skimmer I am truly interested in doesnt seem like it will fit in my amiracle wet/dry. Is it possible to run a larger skimmer underneath the tank where the wet/dry is even if it isnt in the sump? Or does it have to be in the sump or hang on the back.
Well from the research I've done it seems like the ETSS & euro-reef are excellent models. My only question is how does the smallest euro reef in sump skimmer fit in my amiracle with a footprint of 9x9 where my sump area is 7x7"? Also, will I still need my rio 1200 pump in the sump area too once...
Well we are in the market for a GOOD protein skimmer to fit in the sump area of our wet/dry system. We would like a better than average model. Any suggestions for a 55 gallon marine fish only tank?
Yes I know the copper deal, I have no interest in inverts at thi stime or with this tank setup. I got a new fish, looks very healthy but I noticed a few spot son him, so just to make sure he wouldnt infect the other fishes I unplugged the carbon filter and left the wet/dry on ofcourse and...
Hello, I would like to treat my tank with a dose of copper but have a power filter w/ carbon. What do I need to put in the filter instead? Also can I just unplug the filter for a day or 2. I still have the bio wet/dry running.
