I haven't a clue what kind of rainbows I have, but as you say they have been much more colurful over the last few days, so hopefully with a few more friends they will shine even more. I shall look into the platys and mollies Thank you.

Ok, I think i may go with 3 more either green or albino barbs, 3 rainbows and perhaps some cories. I can't send my barbs back to LFS, they were my pioneers it just doesn't seem right. :rofl: My problem is I'm very new to this hobby and my knowledge of different species is very limited, but...

Ok, This is good. I would like more colour in my tank though. At the mo its very orange/black despite the gouramis and the rainbows. Any ideas ? Cheers

Hello All My tank has been up and running now for 2 1/2 months now and all seems well in relation too water chemistry etc. My problem is my wife decided while she was at our LFS picking up my Stardust Pleco ( which had been preordered ) she would buy a selection of other fish, which the LFS...

Could anyone give me any ideas on the best (easy to use) test kits currently available ? What (ideally) is the hardiest fish to be adding to the tank first in order to get the ball rolling ? Guppies seem a regular choice. Cheers.

Hello All..... I have finally filled a life-time 'want' and went and bought myself a fish tank, made much easier now by having my own house. I haven't populated the tank yet, its been running since last saturday. I have added a few plants (plastic and real). So now its time to start learning...
