    Pearling

Very cool! Just started my new tank about 3 weeks ago and have noticed my plants have started pearling. My other half doesn't really understand how little bubbles can make a fully grown man so happy! Nice pics BTW.

Co2 Regulators Single Or Two Stage

No worries. Turns out, mine is a two stage anyway! Been emailing the guys who I bought the product from. I've cleaned the solanoid and a few other tewaks and it's now fine. Russ

Co2 Regulators Single Or Two Stage

Hi Aaron, Is a dual guage the same as dual stage? I was reading Mr Barr's thread on this forum about these. Apparently they keep the output pressure the same even when the bottle is almost finished. http://www.barrreport.com/showthread.php/6470-Dual-Stage-Regulators Russ

Co2 Regulators Single Or Two Stage

Can anyone recommend a good two stage regulator? I bought a D-D kit a few years ago which I believe is a single stage type. I buy the none-refillable co2 bottles from eBay and would like to continue to do so. The kit came with a pin wheel and solenoid so hopefully all I need is a new regulator...

How To Tie Plants To Wood

How do you guys and gals tie plants to wood? I've used fishing line and/or cotton before. Both had no problems. I've seen some posts recently where people are using super glue. Anyone had success with that? Russ

    Which C02 Reactor

Righty, got the substrate, tank on order, external filter, uv (which I'm not sure i really need to use). Now looking at C02 diffusion. From what I've read, C02 reactors seem the best way. Any suggestions? Been looking, and as normal, so many different ones! I'd like an inline one, to hide...

    Which Substrate?

I'm lucky in that I've got several weeks until my new tank arrives, so soaking shouldn't won't be an issue. Yeah, saw that about some carpeting plants. Trade off between price of other mega expensive substrates I guess.

    Which Substrate?

After everything I've read, and advice, I'm thinking of the Akadama. I'll let you all know how I get on! Thanks again.

    Thanks for all the replies.

    Which Substrate?

Which substrate should I use in my new tank. I've used good old play sand in the past with good results. Only problem I did find was the scratched glass. Have ooked at aquatic substrates, but from what I've read, they only keep nutrients for about 1year so what's the real point if you're using...
