I'm going to give up the hobby

I've had 4 goldfish over the last 3 1/2 years. We watched one die last year and one a few months ago with a perpetual case of the floaties. Now the new fish we got three weeks ago seems to have brought something with it and gave it to my 2-year-old Oranda. Water parameters have always been good...

Need help connecting a Hygger gravel cleaner.

They said it fits most faucets, but it doesn't fit mine. The threads on the adapter are a larger diameter and too fine. I didn't see any other adapters listed and am dreading searching for one at the hardware stores. Should I go to Home Depot or try the pet stores?

What's the best way to add chlorine remover?

I just got a gravel syphon that attaches to the sink. I want to use it to fill the tank after cleaning. Before, I premixed it in a pitcher one gallon at a time. Should I add it all to the tank before filling or at the end of a fill, or in steps? 25 gallon tank with a submersible filter rated...

We'll, that gives me something to think about. We have a small place, 40 gallons would likely be the maximum we'd have room for. For now, I'll keep a close eye on the water and do frequent water changes. We got the other fish. It's 1/3 the size. They're getting along swimmingly.

We have a 4-inch Oranda and would like to get him a tankmate. Would it be a problem to introduce another smaller Oranda?

Oranda goldfish with a serious case of swim bladder disease. Help please.

Okay. We've never had a heater since we got them. I just read it can help to bring the temp up to around 80. Do you think it will help to buy a heater?

Are frozen peas okay- thawed and pealed? We might try the salt too. Thank you!

Oranda goldfish with a serious case of swim bladder disease. Help please.

It's not looking good. "She" has an extended belly and trouble swimming. Also doesn't appear to be eating. She's had the problem a few times since we got her 2 years ago. We used a product available in Canada by Tetra called Lifeguard, which is supposed to help with several conditions, but it...

I'm not sure if I broke a forum rule by posting a product picture? I couldn't find the rules last night.

Mystery solved. When we set up the tank just over a month ago, my wife added a bacterial supplement which I didn't see. It looks like some didn't dissolve.
