Fortunately I have not had any need for any anti-bacterial agents in four years of fishkeeping, so unfortunately I don't have any in. Its a 33gal (48x12x12) tank, and I have already added the recommended dosing of API salt.

Hi Iceegrl, I would suggest sticking with the same wattage if I was you, as you will start causing youself problems if you use tubes which have a higher wattage (and therefore current draw) than the ballast/starter in the hood can handle (it will shorten their life, and you may have problems...
