That appears to be a blue female. The pectorial fins seem a little long for a female but everything else screams female.

Aquabid or a US breeder with a transshipper is gonna be your best bet. I have ocellata growing out right now if you can find a transshipper.

Filter over peat and your pH will drop quickly.

Unbroken leaves will tint the water far less then broken ones. I use them in almost all my tanks and unbroken leaves in a 10 gallon will give it the color of apple juice. Broken pieces will make it tea-like.

I agree, a nice driftwood with plants around it would really set the tank off nicely. I had some 5 gallons done with driftwood before, they look nice.

Appears to be a cambo female. The pectoral fins are very short compared to a Plakat male.

Finding them in a shop is probably not going to happen.

The male doesnt squeeze them out. Sounds like she may be eggbound and some are forcing their way out.
