Wow, well better make that 2 dead tiger barbs, while we were messaging back and forth, the sick one did a freaky swim around the edge of the bowl he was in, which by the way he hadnt been in that long, then after his little swimming spasm, he layed over and died....:( Ulcer can kill like this...

one last question, would it be worthwhile doing a half water change, it has been a few weeks since i last changed it, but all levels are good, i think mostly in part to the plants. thanks for all the help..

I dont have another tank that I can isolate the tiger barb in, is it possible to isolate it in a bowl, if I change the water often enough? Also, is there a chance of anything happening to my other fish, weird that one was dead, and this one has an ulcer in the same day.

Yes Ammonia and nitrites are zero, just looked at the sick tiger barb, and the the red spot does seem to have a white edge around it.
