hi have a just bought a juwel fish tank and in manual it states that there is no need for an air stone as this can damage the seals why is this in juwel instructions but not in clear-seal tank instruction and would my air curtain really damage my tank ?

my tank is approx 125 litres and i would like to get an external filter and wont to know if i was to get one that was a bit big for the tank would it be more efficient?
