    Strange Tetra Behavior

Oh, thanks! That's what I thought it was too at first, but then it went on for a pretty long time so I thought it might be something different. :D

    Strange Tetra Behavior

Yeah, the one chasing is bigger than the rest and the colours seem more....defined, I guess you could say. It's a 20 gallon. And, nope, I just fed them and they all ate peacefully, but then once the food was gone, it was right back to chasing them away. And now two tetras on the other side...

    Strange Tetra Behavior

So, I've had 8 Lemon Tetras for almost a year now, and they've been pretty peaceful with each other. But today, I noticed one of them is staying on the left side of the tank while the rest of them are on the right side and when one of them tries to go to the left side, the one there chases them...

    Lemon Tetra's

I too have Lemon Tetras and they're usually not too nippy...only a little when I introduce new fish to their tank and the new fish are always too fast for them.

    Can I add any Rams?

Hey, sorry for bringing this topic back, but I was looking at Rams and I like the Bolivian Rams and I was wondering if I could get one or two of those instead of the Cories.

    My Tank

Hey, this is my tank. It's a really bad picture, but it's my first time so any tips would be appreciated! The tank is in it's beginning stages so suggestions and feedback would be great! EDIT: I forgot to mention it's the 20 Gallon in my signature.

my serpae tetra making a bubble nest

I have to agree with everyone else... Tetras can't make bubblenests. Most likely the filter making those bubbles.

    driftwood

It's tannin from the wood. It won't cause any harm to the fish and will go away over time. In the future you could try boiling the wood or soaking it before putting it in the tank and that should get rid of most of the tannins.

    Filter pads

That's just how I do it... I'm sure other people have different methods. You should find what works for you.

    Filter pads

I do it once weekly when I change the water. I don't think you should replace them as they have beneficial bacteria on them. I think the only time you should replace them is if they are falling apart to the point where you can't use them anymore.

    my tank pics

If that's a Glass Catfish, you need to get it some companions ASAP because they need to be with their own species or they'll die of loneliness. And nice looking tank. I like the piece of wood.

I want to write an artical for a magazine

I'd like to see more articles on Gourami's or one of the less talked about Tetras (not Neons or Cardinals).
