yes its a good idea to boil it first then leave it in water outside for couple days before putting in the aquarium. This is what i have done, as i have made one for myself few weeks back and it turns out that my fishes enjoys hiding away in the coconut cave.

I did water change of about 20%. Nitrate reading from tap 40. yes I do use the API test kit and i do shake all the bottles well.

Tank Size: 95 litres Ammonia: 0.25 Nitrite: 0.00 Nitrate: 80 I have done my water change last night and my Nitrate levels are so high. The nitrate level has been high for few months now. Is there any way I can reduce this. Many Thanks

And is there any fish that will eat the Black Brush Algae (BBA)??
