The tank is 125l so its a not small, yep, they grow big all right. What is the norm temp for tropical fish tank, is it 26c? I have other fish in there so didnt want to lower it to much, the other fish I have are nothing out of the norm.

If I have the heater at the 12 o'clock position, the temp goes to about 21.5?? The heater can do atleast 23/24 degrees! Must I keep turning it clockwise until desired temp is found??

Very similar, except it had a white body and red fins.

So am i right in saying that the level of PH is not as important as the levels of NO2 and NO3, PH becomes important depending on the f ish you want to keep? Am I also right in saying that NO2 and NO3 levels should = 0 ? Anything else is harmful. thanks,

Thanks, yes I read about cycling but buying some hard fish, should do the cycling for me except it will take around 6 weeks?? So I can then buy a small pleco or too. What hard fish are good to buy?
