The wet/dry filters seem to be more geared towards marine tanks afaik?? Any reason you have not looked at the pro 2 filters from Eheim? We have the 2026 and just ordered a 2028, both models can come with heaters built in the bottom (2126 and 2128 respectivly) and we have not had any problems...
