Hello I`ve got a cuckoo catfish and I was thinking about another couple of "caves" for it. I`ve been told that terracota plant pots are good for this, should I use the proper terracota or the plastic ones. I heard that the water balance can change if you use the proper ones, is this true...

The ph of my tap water is 8. The fish I keep are recommended to be 7>7.5 but they all seem very happy in the water they are in. All of them have brilliant colour, feed well and swim well. I wouldn`t use all the powders as the water has a strong buffer.
