This is what is happening with mine. Took it back today and got 3 more ornaments instead ;) all natural rocks and wood:) Water is fine now I've taken the piece of crud out!!!

Just removed the offending article out of my tank. 2 of the neons (that I could see) where floating at a 45 degree angle? I promptly did a 50% water change. The smell was even making me feel dizzy!!!

I've emailed the company "blue ribbon pet products" Ill try taking it back tomorrow and get a replacement or see what they say. Thanks again guys! Ill keep you updated.

It is defiantly the ornament. I noticed the smell when i was washing it however I thought nothing of it. I recently changed the filter media I.e carbon and rinsed the sponge. The top of the tank was wiped clean on the last water change. I appreciate the help you are giving me! :)

I have just realised that the ammonia reading is coming from the tap water ;) Does this mean I am fully cycled? Ammonia 0.25(tap water) nitrites 0 nitrates 40-80ppm (I shook the bottle ;) )

I have Loads of live plants! But I used bob martins tap water safe and the stress zyme after each water change. Is this the same as prime?
