i just added the babies into a plastic fish bag and floated that in the tank. Should i be releasing the babies into the main tank? by the way is there something i can use to cover up the filter intake part so the babies don't get sucked up because that is where i found most of these babies?

that is the tank levels but i only changed the water a short while a go so the readings might not be accurate. any way how do i blanch the vegetables? and is it worth buying a heater and putting the fish back in with their parents in a separate tank?
