The exact thing happened with one of my guppy females and an endler female. I moved them into a breeding trap and the experience spooked them so much that they aborted the fry, which all died within minutes. For this reason I would never recommend moving pregnant females into breeding traps....

Just a word of warning. When I put 2 heavily pregnant females (1x guppy, 1x endler) in a floating breeding trap, they both got so stressed out that they aborted about 15 fry, which died within minutes...... Personally speaking, I prefer to have a planted tank that allows the fry plenty of...

Just do a search under 'endlers' and you'll find a few. There are normally more up for sale, but due to the cold weather it is more risky sending them, especially as some people haven't got heat packs to accompany them. I've sold a few lots of fry(successfully)in the past, so am happy to give...

Professor John Endler (gave his name to the fish)is a fellow member of the Endlers R Us forum and he is probably one of the foremost authorities on the subject.....

def 1m to 3f is the ideal ratio IMHO.

I ordered some half tux endlers from Stella9998 a while back off eBay and ended up getting poor quality hybrid blackbar endlers...... :angry: I have many endler varieties but don't have any heatpacks to accompany the fish so wouldn't be able to send any for a while. An eBay user called...

I couldn't bring myself to decapitate the fish..... In my early days of fish keeping I used to flush down the toilet, as I'd heard that this was a quick method of killing them, but now use crushed ice in water. I think I'll get some clove oil though as a few people have suggested it.....

£3.95 each! :hyper: Well overpriced. My advice would be to purchase them from a private and reputable breeder as you'll probably get better quality for less £££'s. I have a number of different strains (snakeskin, neon, half tux,snakechested)but my personal favourite is still the orange...

Your experience is one reason why I avoid lfs. Not only do they often not know what they're talking about, but often their fish are genetically weak with little resistance to disease and are more expensive than whst you pay to get them from an experienced private breeder. My advice: Try eBay.

:blink: Or maybe your experience isn't the same as everyone elses?? Looks like someone else shares my experience also, so I guess we're 2 in a million now...... :rolleyes:
