Lovely! I have some land, too.... I got two horses on it and four ponies... two of the ponies are someonelses... on my land!! Grr Lovely though!!

Tiger barbs are naturally fin-nippers. I guess maybe a sword tail or a platy could be ok with them. But I am not 100% sure. Guppies deffinetly not because they have large fins.

Update: One of y platies died for someu nknown reason....Baby is still oging.

Hi, is it ok to put a female guupy in my tank even though i have male guppies, i know they will breed but is it ok just to levae them, and leave her to have babies freely?? also...will a female guppy eat her fry?

RYO... did you get your tank from petsathome? I am thinkign about gettign like a starter pack from pets athome..just for a quarentine tank because i am getting a fifty gal for livebearers etc

I had this problem but it was my guppies chasing my platies....um.. I wouldnt put her in he net, i would just let nature take its course. And if thats what the male naturally does leave him to do so. Just put heri n net when you think she is due.

Maybe the gouramis nipped it and killed it.. but maybe it died of stress and they just nipped at it and ate.

Update: I found one platy fry this morning. But I don't think it was from the platy that actually looked pregnant. My platy that looked pregnant still looks pregnant, but my other platy was actign weird, i found her,today my soem moss in the bottom of the tank looking dead, but she wasnt.. then...

i had moss stuff in one side of the breeder trap...meh i dunno.. lol my sis is obsessed with great whites and zambizis!! my sis wud luv it if she saw tht pic!!

Ok...people. I posted before saying my platy was pregnant. So i watched her closely, and every night she went into her breeder trap...but one morning I woke up and....she had nothing in there but she looked empty again.. a week after now...shes looking pregnant again... what the hell could have...

Hiya, when i leave it stand.. i do add a few drops of dechlorinater....but how do i get it a gd temp then before i add it? i have no idea..

Does his sound okk... if I was to boil the water and let it cool down? Does boiling it get rid of chlorine etc? How do I do it, in the past I have just got some water ready, then left it standf for a week... but I found that it brings the water temp right down -_- Any Advice?
