Your issue sounds weird to me.
Siamese fighting fish are one of the hardest out there some people say if you throw these in a muddy paddle these can survive. Your test image looked fine to me you don't have any nitrite and for me usually means low ammonia also, since nitrite is the cycle step...
They might work together :) he might stress these to death and the shrimps clear of the evidence.
I owned different gurami in the past and their behaviour differ. I had an aggressive gurami chasing smaller fish and even eating neon, currently I have a very frightened dwarf gurami that is even...
Keep making water changes.
Search and remove dead plants, dead fish.
Do you have any big snails inside? These are notorious ammonia bombs if they die in smaller tanks.
I am using test stripes which contain multiple tests. It's convenient cause it shows also nitrates nitrite in the water.
Having...
Not sure if there is such kind here 'Private breeder'
Most of the fishes here are coming from abroad as far as I know and one supplier which I think he was also a breeder told me that he only sells to shops.
So in a few word I am the closest example of 'Private Breeder' here and I am looking for...
I know from previous experience that you can get deformities rather quickly so the faster you mix the blood the better.
My community tank is 200 litr planted ph
Hahahaha I know itiwhetu.
Right now I have just simple mollies in my tank and these mostly came from 3 batches from 2 petshops.
So I looking to add also swordtails, harlequin and platy to the tank. Or to just change molly with molly so as to mix the blood and avoid deformations from next...
Hi Guys,
I have started getting molly fry 3 weeks ago from my mollies.
If anyone is in Glasgow area I am exchanging these for either harlequin or swordtail or platty or even other molly just to mix the blood a bit.
I still keep these on the box cause they are still getting harrased by their...
Yea.... the good bacterial that breaks down ammonia develop inside your filter.
I just clear the sponges on mine when it does not drain any more and that's it. I use to have in the past and now on my new tank apart from the sponge, some filtering material which acts like bacteria colony to make...
Too bad to hear mate.....
Is the nitrates still high in the bad tank?
Since you have so many tanks I would suggest to move the fish for the nitrate ones to the planted one temporarily and then empty the one with the ammonia and set this again.
Yea as everyone else said boil the shells. If these smells as you said then the ex residents are still inside what I used to do is to dry these in the sun for a long time 2 months or so until there is no more smell on these and then definitely boil these again to kill any microbes.
I now set a second tank as live food breeding tank with snails and daphnia.
I will post some pictures following weeks if everything goes well with these.
